Pizarro ISP February 24th Update

Sunday, February 24th, 2019

Local fiat buying for this month was completed. A total of 1597 USD were acquired for 0.43 BTC at an average price of 3714 USD/BTC a discount over this month's auction determined price point of 3247 USD/BTC.

Some discussion on what hardware to include in the next buildout mission occurred alongside the passing of a list of candidate forums to enumerate and walk. By the end of Saturday this upcoming week I intend to submit a collection of candidate payloads for review. Scouting for additional forums continues, but is complicated by a decade of Reddit eating independent forums.

This week I will also be submitting paperwork to the local environmental office swearing I know how to dispose of trash in order to maintain the import certification.

Reading of Cuntoo scripts continues. I am grateful bolder pioneers, especially hanbot, are running out ahead of me and taking ample notes.

Pizarro ISP February 17th Update

Sunday, February 17th, 2019

A fiat auction settled the BTC/USD rate for February at 3247 USD/BTC and invoices were issued. A customer question following invoicing lead to implementing selection magic on the Pizarro website and a review of the copy presented on the website as well. A review of all copy on the website will continue through at least the next week with the aim of producing marketing payloads for mass distribution that are in concordance with the information presented on the website.

This week's discussion in the forum of the Republic has been dominated by the subject of compilers, one I am ill equipped to comment on. Because of the critical role the compiler plays in building the rest of this stack, following the conversation as it plays out is important to have a literate understanding of the decisions made on the way to having a compiler.

Pizarro ISP Update February 10th, 2019

Sunday, February 10th, 2019

Accounting for the month of January was published. The next day an order for the short term rental of an AMD64 box for Cuntoo testing was received and fulfilled. For a lack of civilized operating system to offer while cuntoo gestates, a Gentoo LiveDVD image professing a 2012 birthdate was plucked out of the wild. Following threads on Cuntoo has lead to reading substantial documentation on its ancestor Gentoo and its installation process.

Routine admistration has encounter a hiccup as efforts to establish a fiat/BTC price point for this months are failing to attract any bidders at all. I don't know if this is for reasons of unfamiliarity with the "buy" auction mechanic, if it is because I am seeking blocks that are too large (or too small), or if I am not starting far enough below what out of WoT price signals suggest the exchange rate might be.

While fiat/BTC liquidity is increasingly available locally, the inability to get an in-WoT price signal is blocking. Last month's price point had to be set by bidding on a sell auction offered by lobbes and winning. As the local liquidity providers are advertising more Pizarro favorable exchange rates than the prices I have been opening auctions at, I intend to acquire 1500 USD locally in the next week and continuing to try to set a price in WoT. However, I do not want to enter the state of sin where I offer an affidavit establishing a price point based on what the locals are paying for a lack of anyone in the The Most Serene Republic interested in buying Bitcoins.

I would like to debug this issue so that price discovery does not continue to threaten timely invoicing.

Pizarro ISP Update February 3rd, 2019

Sunday, February 3rd, 2019

The replacement RockChip discussed in last weeks update has been installed. The old unit is sitting on my desk waiting for me to remove the heatsink in a non-destructive manner before mailing the unit to asciilifeform.

Tools cleaned, organized, and where appropriate oiled.

The monthly statement is being prepared to be followed by the monthly fiat auction. Routine administration is wonderfully becoming routine.
